Had it have been a slow news week we would have creatively written this entry as an elaborative April fool’s ruse! However, luckily for us and for you as the reader, this week has been great at the HTA!
Which means it’s time for the HTA Hotline, where we provide a peak into the kinds of stakeholders we’re engaging with and projects we’re working on. We hope this will give those that haven’t got in touch yet more of a reason to do so, and to give our new friends that have joined our network a nice wave!
By now we’re sure you’re well aware of the HTA being a partnership-led initiative and the opportunities for collaboration across our partners that are afforded to those who engage with the accelerator. The past couple of weeks this has been truly highlighted through conversations between Whzan and academics and the University of Surrey, who are looking at how joining forces could bring about some really innovative research outcomes to better the health and care landscape. We’re looking forward to seeing how these conversations develop.
KSS AHSN, one of our core partners, held their first Innovator Support Day at the HTA this week. The day consisted of presentations on health inequalities, environmental sustainability, and storytelling for business, and was a chance to network with like-minded individuals in the healthcare technology sphere. The big coup of the day however, was each of the eight organisations in attendance were given the opportunity to film a video with the help of Centric Health Media to pitch their company, and use as future marketing material.
For many, this was the first face to face event they had attended since the start of the pandemic and from the buzz around the HTA it was a clear victory for the return to being back in person. The team at the HTA were chuffed to provide the space and to support KSS AHSN in putting on such a successful day, of course including a tasty spread to keep those innovative juices flowing.
Over the course of the year, we hope to support many more events like this at the Health Tech Accelerator, and we urge you to get in touch if this is an area you would like to explore.
