Information and data is vital to the work that takes place within the Health Tech Accelerator. Only by the effective obtaining, use and sharing of information can the HTA meet its purpose to provide the current issues that the health and social care system are facing with innovative technology-based solutions from within industry. Failure to adequately protect and manage information would create an unacceptable risk to the privacy of clinicians, citizens, academics, and technology companies that use the Health Tech Accelerator. The HTA recognises its obligations in updating and expanding its policies and procedures to meet the requirements of GDPR.
